Internet Marketing versus Internet Seller

Trying to sell something online can often times be slow and frustrating. I liken it to trying to twist a screw into a piece of wood with your fingers. There is the appearance of work taking place but without the right knowledge and tools you probably won’t be able to get the job done no matter how hard you work it.

Whilst the right tools for woodworking would be a screwdriver, the right tools for internet marketing are websites and autoresponders.

An internet seller does not need a website of their own. They simply sell a product on someone elses site (like eBay); or become an Internet Affiliate who drives visitors to affiliate offers in the hope of making a commission on the sale of someone else’s product. If the product supply or fad desire for the product dries up – so does their income.

An internet marketer uses a system to drive traffic (or prospective customers) to their website and sign them up to an autoresponder. In this way a marketer can sell any product using this system. When they have a autoresponder list they can discover their market’s desires and then direct them to ways to fulfill those desires. The Internet Marketer can continue to make money regardless of the product because they use a tool built on a system not a fad.
